Hannah's UK Three Peaks Challenge for MS
Local fundraiser Hannah Carslake, from Chesterfield, is taking on one of the UK’s toughest walking challenges — Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon — in support of her best friend Lexi, who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2025.
Hannah is completing all three peaks within 24 hours, covering 26 miles and 3,000 metres of vertical ascent. It’s a gruelling feat of endurance, but for Hannah, the motivation couldn’t be clearer: showing Lexi that she’s not alone.
All money raised will go towards MS research and support services, helping people across the UK living with this lifelong condition.
Why Hannah is taking on this challenge
When Lexi received her MS diagnosis in 2025, Hannah wanted to do something meaningful. The Three Peaks Challenge — tackling the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales — is her way of standing beside her friend and turning heartbreak into action.
Every step Hannah takes on those mountains is a step taken for Lexi and for everyone in the UK living with MS. Your support, no matter how small, makes a real difference.
About Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Multiple Sclerosis is a lifelong condition that affects the brain and spinal cord. It can cause a wide range of symptoms including problems with vision, movement, sensation and balance. Around 130,000 people in the UK are living with MS.
There is currently no cure, but research funded by charities like the MS Society is helping to develop better treatments and improve quality of life for those diagnosed.
