This friendly and welcoming neurodivergent support group meets twice a month at the Sorbo Lounge in Chesterfield, usually one Friday and one Sunday from 2pm–4pm. The easiest way to keep up to date with upcoming meet-up dates is through the Facebook group.

The group was created three years ago after the founder, following their own ADHD diagnosis, realised there were very few local in-person support groups available. While there was plenty of information online, there was a lack of relaxed face-to-face spaces where neurodivergent people could meet others who genuinely understood their experiences.

The meet-ups are informal, relaxed and completely pressure-free. There are no introductions, no expectations and no structured activities, just a safe space for people to chat, unwind and spend time with others who understand. Many people describe it as feeling more like meeting friends for a coffee than attending a support group.

People are welcome to come and go throughout the session as needed. The group understands that everyone manages things differently and there is no judgement if someone needs quiet time, a sensory break or a few minutes outside to regulate.

The group is aimed at people local enough to attend the in-person meet-ups, even if they do not come regularly, as the focus is on creating a genuine local community rather than an online-only space.

The founder is a trained coach and also lives with neurodivergence. Feedback from members is consistently positive, with many describing the group as friendly, understanding and a safe place where they can simply be themselves and unmask without fear of judgement.
