June Awareness Month
Pride Month 2026
June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate diversity, inclusion and the contribution that LGBTQ+ people make to our communities.
For many people, Pride is about being able to be themselves, feeling accepted and knowing that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It is also an opportunity to learn more about LGBTQ+ history, raise awareness and promote equality within our workplaces, schools and communities.
Here in Chesterfield, Pride Month is marked by Chesterfield Pride, which takes place on Saturday 13 June 2026. The event is one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the region and brings people together for a day of entertainment, community stalls, food, music and celebration.
At Local Support Chesterfield, we believe that strong communities are built on kindness, understanding and inclusion. Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate diversity, raise awareness and help create a community where everyone feels welcome, valued and respected.
Whether you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, an ally, or simply want to learn more, Pride Month is an opportunity to celebrate what brings us together and help create communities where everyone feels welcome.
